Abstract : The booster vaccination program is a form of continuation of the complete dose primary vaccination aimed at maintaining the level of immunity and extending the period of protection. This study aims to determine what factors influence the acceptance of booster vaccinations in the community in Senggol Market area, Parepare City. The type of research used is observational analytic with a cross sectional study design. The sample in this study are people who lives around Senggol Market area, Ujung Sabbang Village, Ujung District with a total sample of 98 people obtained by purposive sampling method. Data collection used a questionnaire instrument. Data processing used Chi-Square test and multivariate logistic regression analysis. Based on the results of the study, there is an influence between perceived vulnerability, perceived severity, perceived benefits and perceived barriers on public acceptance of booster vaccinations. Perceived vulnerability, severity and benefit are protective factors and perceived barriers are risk factors. The researchers' recommendation is for the local government to provide socialization more regularly regarding information regarding the benefits, safety, halalness, AEFI effects that may arise, hoaxes about booster vaccines and the effectiveness of booster vaccines that have been tested based on clinical evidence to the public so that public confidence in booster vaccines is formed.
