Abstract : Measuring the risk of various factors that influence the incidence of organophosphate and carbamate pesticide poisoning in shallot spraying farmers in Perangian Village, Baraka District, Enrekang Regency in 2022. This research is an observational analytic study using a retrospective case control study design which aims to determine the effect of age, nutritional status, wind direction, land area, working period, level of farmer knowledge, determining pesticide doses, how to store pesticides, how to mix pesticides, how to handle post-spraying, and the use of PPE for the incidence of pesticide poisoning in shallot farmers in Perangian Village, Baraka District, Enrekang Regency in 2022 by comparing the case group (farmers poisoned by pesticides) with the control group (farmers who were not poisoned by pesticides). The results of the Cholinesterase examination can be known with the Cholinesterase test kit. The results of the Cholinesterase examination on farmers as cases and farmers as controls were Normal but experienced a decrease in cholinesterase in 51 people (53.1%) and 45 people were poisoned (46.9%). The results of this study had a relationship or influence between determining the dose of pesticides (P=0.007), spraying frequency (P=0.000), duration of spraying (P=0.000), and body hygiene (P=0.000) with cholinesterase, and there was no relationship or the effect of age (P=0.421), nutritional status (P=0.752), knowledge (P=0.451), attitude (P=0.784), amount of pesticides (P=0.276), wind direction (P=0.458), use of PPE (P=0.588) with cholinesterase. For farmers with below normal cholinesterase, do not use pesticides until the cholinesterase returns to normal, attend counseling and use safe pesticides.
