Abstract : This study aimed to evaluate the antibacterial activity of Hanse Dent Endomix against Enterococcus faecalis (E. faecalis) in comparison to other medicaments (Ledermix, and Metapaste) using the agar disk diffusion method. The study sample consisted of 12 filter paper disks that were randomly distributed into four equal groups: group 1 (Experminteal, n=3) Hanse Dent Endomix, group 2 (Experminteal, n=3) Ledermix, group 3 (positive control, n=3) Metapaste, and group 4 (negative control, n=3) sterile water. Medicaments' solutions were prepared by dissolving them with sterile water in a 1:1 ratio and the disks were impregnated with the three medicaments' solutions. The disks were placed on Mueller-Hinton agar plates previously inoculated with E. faecalis suspension., then the plates were incubated at 37°C for 24 hours. After incubation, bacterial growth inhibition zones) diameters around the antimicrobial disks were measured with a scaled millimeter ruler. There was a statically significant difference in the antibacterial effect against E. faecalis between the three medicaments (p=0.000). Both Hanse Dent Endomix and Ledermix medicament were effective against E. faecalis with no statically significant difference (p=0.997). The antibacterial effect of Hanse Dent Endomix and Ledermix was significantly higher than Metapaste (p=0.000). This study showed that both Hanse Dent Endomix and Ledermix medicament were superior to Metapaste medicament against E. faecalis, and the antibacterial effect of Hanse Dent Endomix was similar to Ledermix.
