Abstract :
Prostate cancer (Pca) is one of the most common tumors in men. In many risk factors causing Pca, several interpretations have revealed that certain specific gene variants and viral infections are strong candidates for the initiation of prostate tumors. Indeed, cancerous tissue infections of the prostate have been reported by the presence of several types of viruses among these viruses there are human papillomaviruses (HPV). The general objective of the present study of this article is to carry out the genotyping of the oncogenic HPV virus of types 18,11,6,45,58,35 and 53 in 10 blood samples already positive for HPV in patients with Pca in the Moroccan population. HPV Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA)detection and genotyping were performed by nested- Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR). To achieve our objectives, 10 blood samples are already positive for HPV in patients with Pca. The viral DNA was extracted and calibrated and the target genes were amplified by PCR using specific primers in 2% agarose gel and visualization under UV. The most common genotypes detected among the patients were HPV 18 (30%), HPV 35 (20%), HPV 45 (20%), HPV 58 (10%), HPV 6(10%), HPV 11(10%), and HPV 53 (0%). HPV infection was common in the study population. The most common genotypes were HPV 6, 11,58,18, and 53, This discovery advances our understanding of HPV epidemiology research and has implications for future research targeted at identifying populations at risk for Pca.
